Dr. George A. Palmer

Dr. Palmer is a 1986 graduate of the Medical College Of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia. He has practiced in Statesboro for over 20 years.

I am honored that you have chosen East Georgia Women's Center as your health care source. We offer the most up-to-date obstetric and gynecologic services in an atmosphere of care and compassion. There are many factors that can affect a woman's physical and emotional health during the different stages of her life. I will listen to your concerns and will work diligently to find a plan of care that is right for you.

Ursula A. Pritham, PhD, WHNP-BC, FNP-BC

Ursula A. Pritham, PhD, WHNP-BC, FNP-BC, completed training as a Women's Health Care Nurse Practitioner in 1984 and as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2004. In addition to her part-time work as a nurse practitioner, she has taught family nurse practitioner students at the University of Maine for 19 years and is presently an assistant professor at the School of Nursing, Georgia Southern University, Statesboro.

It is a pleasure and a privilege to be able to care for you and to support East Georgia Women's Center in the delivery of comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to women across the lifespan. In addition to addressing your health needs, we offer preventive health care and education to promote wellness. By partnering with you, we hope to improve your immediate and life-long health in a respectful and satisfying manner.


Medical College of Georgia - Training Facility

Dr. Palmer is an associate professor of the Medical College of Georgia. He trains third year medical students in our office. This allows the students to get field experience by working with OB/GYN patients. A new student joins the team every six weeks to complete his/her rotation.
